Taking A Closer Look At Your Current Software Stack

It’s a lot like moving house. You will need to take stock of what you have, what you need, what you can donate, give away, or just plain trash.

Evaluating Your Current Setup

Before transitioning to Go High Level, it's crucial to thoroughly assess your existing software tools.

TRUTH BOMBS:

First, you have too many pieces of software.

Second, you have way too much stuff inside that software!

Hoarding all your funnels, email lists, etc often stems from a scarcity mindset. As this mentality is rooted in the belief that resources are limited.

Who said this business stuff is only about tactics?

Migrate to High Level

Creating a Comprehensive Migration Plan

First up, we need to take stock.

Preparing To Move To High Level

Let’s talk about the time frame first.

If you are thinking you can start a Go High Level account one day and close your old accounts another day - you would be mistaken.

Migration takes time. In my experience, it is a 1 month at the minimum to 1 year for bigger businesses with a lot of moving parts… AKA sales.

It is important to take the time needed to plan and execute this move. It needs to be structured in your calendar.

A well-structured migration plan is the backbone of a smooth transition, minimizing disruptions.

Next: Organizing Your Data

Let’s get ready to move.

I want you to list all of the things…

Create a list of all software you currently have and the software you bought on that AppSumo deal that you plan to use “one day” and list it out.

Gather all the login details and the passwords for this software as well.

The Rule: If you haven’t touched it in 6 months you gotta let it go.

Domain(s):

It is important to understand where your domain(s) is and who owns it.

You need to know the domain registrar(s) for each domain you want to migrate and where the nameservers are pointing for each.

If you have traffic running to domains moving the domain(s) will be the last step we take.

Email Service Provider:

  • Select & delete unsubscribes

  • Select & delete bounces

  • Turn off automations that you’re no longer using.

  • Rename it with the word OFF in front

  • Rename the ones you are still using with the word “LIVE” in front of it

  • Delete all unnecessary tags

  • Optimize the tags you’re keeping with:

    • Lead - Freebie Name

    • Product - Product Name

    • Nurture To - Product Name

    • Event - Event Name

  • Your Email Sequences

    • Clearly name them

    • Itemize and match emails to funnels/campaigns

    • Download into a Google doc so you can easily copy and paste them into High Level

Funnels:

  • Archive all funnels not in use

  • Make a list of all active funnels with links

    • Add the word “Move” to the front of the funnels that you will be bringing with you

  • Make a list of all active optin forms with links

    • Add the word “Move” to the front of the forms that you will be bringing with you

  • Do the same with other pieces that can be moved

Design Assets:

Do you have the design files you need to rebuild everything?

Sometimes we upload them and then no longer have them on our drives or on our desktops.

Be sure you have everything you need from backgrounds to mock-ups to logos to rebuild in High Level.

Calendars:

You will have more calendars than you need as well. The same rule applies if there has not been an appointment booked on a calendar in the last 3 months - delete it.

Course Materials:

You will need to gather all the info you have put in your course.

See if you can download it & put it in your own storage.

Create a spreadsheet of the information in each course.

I have created a template of one I use here: Course Directory Template Simply make a copy for yourself.

You will have categories, lessons, links, and downloads with videos and audio files, etc.

With the spreadsheet, you can collect everything you need and will then be able to copy and paste it all easily and quickly into the Go High Level membership area.

Once you have all this information collected….
